Hello, as stated before, Im going to start posting future and previous work that I have worked on while in the 3D animation program. However, for my teachers sake Im not going to post everything, that will be saved at a later date-maybe when I have a chance to fix my work.

The first big project we did this semester is make a 30 second commercial. My group decided to do a space/scifi theme for the commercial. The video for it is down below if you are curious.( Keep in mind this was our first attempt of coming together as a group and doing a commercial like this).

Although, it doesnt look perfect, Im still proud of our first attempt at doing a commercial. We all did our best and Im proud with the work that we managed to produce.

MY PARTS!!!!

I am going to show you a compilation of the contributions that I did in this project. Although it was not as much as some of my teammates, I still contributed and Im proud of what I can accomplish with my horrible, terrible work ethic.

MODELING:

okay our organization was a mess. Again we have never worked together and didnt know what we were doing. When picking we kinda did a "first come first serve" method or the "cookie jar method" as my professor has said. I had about three things that I was supposed to model but in the end I ended up with one asset to model. Down below are the designs for the assets I was planning on doing. However these assets either ended up having to let my teammates do the modeling or just deciding not to do it.

As you can see above are the designs for the cash register. I was very excited in designing the assets for the project and couldnt come up with a design for it. I wanted it to be scifi themed since the commerical would be that theme but wanted it to be unique. I made some designs where either the register keys or the register itself levitated. Moreover I did other designs with the same concept but with holograms instead. You can also see some designs where there are floating monitors as well, along with the register to make it more spacey or futuristic technology. Also I got way into designing the register that I forgot to design the conveyor belt. You can see on the sticky notes were some early designs for the money for the commercial but we decided to scrap the idea because it was unecessary. For the design I wanted to do ducks because a classmate made a design for our cohort that was duck theme and wanted to pay homage to that. We all came up with the symbol together which is c with two ll in the middle and also a and c. We named it after the program we are in DAC(digital animation on computer?)

Above is spaceship designs that I came up with. Similar to the cash register I wanted it to be unique but simple to design so that its not a bland spaceship. My team and I decided to add another spaceship but scraped it due to time. We thought two space ships copy and pasted would be too obvious and a third one would give it a twist,. its a shame that I didnt get to model these designs because they wouldve been so much fun to model-maybe Ill do it in the future-who knows.

Above, here are designs for Billy- the goo monster- thats what our team named him. We love him very much. I wanted to come up with designs for him but we all agreed on it in the planning phase. You can also see designs for the shopping basket and cart; I was burnt out at this point so you cant see many designs for them here. You could also see some extra designs for the cash register with the hologram idea. Also in the early stages of the commercial we wanted the shopping basket to go inside the goo monster- thats why you can see the shopping basket and phone in him. Again we scrapped the idea because of the lack of time.

Above is a demo reel of the modeled version of Billy, with a texture version and wireframe. I did the modeling and the surfacing of Billy. He has simple shapes and features. This is because I couldnt figure out how to design him and was running out of time to do something complicated.

He's got some sick moves right?! Jokes aside, this demo reel was for showcasing the painted weights I did for this guy. At first I was supposed to do the rigging-connecting the bones to the nodes. However after discussing with one of my teammates due to lack of time we decided that I could do the painting weights to help ease the work for them. This is the extended version as in the demo reel shown above its was shorter so enjoy seeing the actions that were cut out!
