On Tuesday, we discussed the lighting and texturing for the film, how we wanted to add blue in the monotone scenes. We discussed the poster and how its going to be laid out;

the person making it is making fantastic progress. There was an issue on the layout however but we talked it through and I believe we helped the person making it.

The person painting the dads weight is finished but there is still issues with other rigs paint weights. We discussed my blocking for animation and how it should be presented. We was going to discuss another persons blocking but they never put it on synchsketch. We had a little issue with synchsketch but we just decided to pay for it monthly because there are two months left in the school year and it wasnt going to cost that much money.

Today we met after class and discussed what we needed to do before class. Those who are animating are working on it and those who are texturing and lighting are planning to texture the main characters and one of the main sets. We discussed how we really need to get working on animating as we barley scratched the surface. There were some issues with the set and characters like some assets disappearing.

Another issue we encountered is when up open up a file for the main character, Frankie the mesh just turns green. The person doing her weight paints said that they will talk to the professor. I will try to do as much blocking animation as I can this weekend so that we can get this animation

in gear.

for this week, we focused on animation. I did blocking animation for review; we reviewed them. I dont like how we did the reviews because we dont go in-depth on critiquing the animations. I had some animations done and told my teammates

to keep it in mind to critique my work. We did some references for our animations since some of us didnt technically start yet. One of my teammates did the texture for Frankie one of our hero rigs and messed up the rig completely. So shes starting the rig

over again. Shes almost done with fixing it and we can do animations on it. Another teammate had to fix the dad rigs arm because the body was wonky. Today we got all the animations together to show our progress to the professor. We decided we needed to finish the animation in two week to give us enough time for the rendering and to help one another out with the animations. We have a lot of work to do because my teammates are still trying to fix broken rigs when they should mainly focus on animation. The other teammates that are doing texturing are trying to finish quickly to help us with animation as well. I am a little worried because I was correct in having dialogue being an issue because we are doing everything we can to not show the characters faces so we didnt have to do dialogue. I am also worried with animation as I doubt that we could finish animation in two weeks even with everyone helping with animation.

We didnt do much last week because we had a second round of demo and resume reviews. We kept working on animations and texturing for the film. We did some critique for the animations. we discussed some issues that people were having with the rigs; we also talked about some lighting and texturing that we still need to get done. For this week, we discussed that we need to finish at least blocking and doing the rough draft for our animations so we can send it off to red line I belive. We also talked about the rig that one of our classmates had done; they did the blinking and mouth close for Frankie and she looks better now than she did before. Im planning on going through my scenes and putting that Frankie in rather than the old one. I gave some of my scenes to my other teammates because they were too much for me to handle. i was taking another class and couldnt animate all 15 scenes myself. We also critiqued our animations that were done and sorted out some confusion we had in our scenes. We also discussed the arrangement on the models, how they werent placed how we liked and decided I would go in and place them correctly. We also discussed who and when will be rendering out the scenes so that we could make the redline deadline.

Last week was a terrible week. We were trying to finish up our animations for the Redline deadline because it was moved up four days than expected. However the vpn was down for half a day which half our group uses because they, including me, cant go to campus all week. This set us back so we had to work on our animations for another day. I messed up with referencing the models, this is because I had to redo some of them and I didnt want to do them again so I referenced in some that still had the animation. I saved the rig on my own computer because I didnt want to save in the x drive. I was worried that it would mess something up or my teammates would

say something. It messed up a scene and my teammates made it a point to not do that and were fixing my mistake which I wasnt proud of. I told them I would do it since it was my mistake and I deleted the rigs on my personal computer and tried to replace all the imported rigs. I also messed up the playblasts as I forgot to change the display size window form to computer to from render settings. They had to go in and fix it even though I shouldve said I would fix it but they didnt tell me the issue until after they

did it. This week we are finishing animations and fixing things that made the display size correct. Another teammate is completely redoing the dialogue, animation and the camera placements which is not a great idea. I dont know who told them to do that or that it was a good idea to do this but they shouldnt be doing this. The film needs to be done by next week and doing that will impede our progress on the film. I am worried they not going to finish "redoing" my work in time. I wouldnt bat an eye if they were fixing the animations because my animations werent the greatest but they shouldve said something, especially if the angles were wrong. They just take things into their own hands without telling anyone or just telling one person in our group which is our manager. We dont have time to still be in animation we only have a week until we need to finish this film and I dont like the fact that they could set us back from finishing it. They suggested to do tears for when Frankie is crying but thats a bad idea because we dont have time. However someone suggested it if we had time but I think we cant because of the lack of time. I cant stress this enough. I suggested to do a post production after effects crying animation and they completely ignored my idea so we might be set back from that too because creating blenshapes isnt an easy task to do and everyones busy. We finished animating this week and should

be good to start working on the lighting and compositing. Were having a meeting tomorrow to discuss the critiques we gotten today for our films and were going to discuss the things we still need to do next which is lighting and compositing which is making me worried. We have a week and I dont want to be working until the last possible day because I have other assignments we need to be doing. Also Im worried because Im afraid something will go wrong with the rendering; with all my experience with rendering, especially with deadline, something always goes wrong. I just hope nothing does and we dont have to work up until the day we have to turn it in.
