Everyone in the team started modeling; we split the assets among the group and are working on them as of current. Down below are the things I finished so far:

My team decided to make a car that is a dumpster. I made four designs for it: one with no rockets in case my team didnt like it. Another with rockets on the side;one with three engines on the back. The last design has rockets on the side similar to one of the previous designs but with a larger rocket coming from the tire on the back.

I also finished trashcans for some of the background scenes in the Noir world.
For this week, I showed and made a poll on which dumpster car were going to use in the film. The one that won will be shown below:
We continued working on modeling the assets and characters. I continued working on background buildings. Down below is the progress I have been making:

I have the structure and the window frames done on some of them but not all. I still have work to do on it such as giving the buildings walls and windows as well. I talked to the team and need more buildings as well. Apparently six isnt enough and need to do a couple more so Im working to do that as well as I talked about previous.
I made progress with the background buildings but I didnt get to finish them. I designed three more buildings which I tried to have more details than the last designs. Down below is the designs for them;

We spent the rest of the time looking over each others finished works which was a fun surprise.I never would have thought we would do this because in the last project, everyone was responsible for their own assets and design. We were too stressed to think of critiquing our work. Everyone did amazing and put in their input and will make changes for the presentation. We also discussed the presentation as well and how everyone would be responsible for their own work.
This week we discussed voice actors and the situation behind that. We discussed how we can acquire the voice actor and who we think we need
for the characters. As for me, I was able to finish beveling a building but I still have a lot of beveling and constructing to do with the rest of it.
Down below is a picture of the finished beveled building.

This week we wanted to discuss the voice acting a little more, specifically the vernacular the characters should have but we couldnt. Half of our group
members were absent and didnt want to talk about it without everyone in our group. We also wanted to discuss the storyboarding more because we dont have the chase scene done
which is concerning. As for me I am not going at the pace I like. I finished beveling two buildings. Down below are pictures of it.

We made a lot of progress this week. We discussed the car chase scene; we watched clips of movies for refrence to get an idea for it. We discussed what we wanted to see with
the car chase and the angles that go with the actions. We also discussed the direction we wanted Frankies office to have; I will provide a picture of the details on the
car chase and the camera angles for Frankies office. As for me I tried to finish beveling and fixing the buildings but I couldnt. I still need to finish beveling three
buildings. I am disappointed that I couldnt finish it in time but I tried my best and thats all I could do. Down below is a picture of the finished buildings.

Last Friday we had a meeting because we had a production pass. I finished beveling all the buildings before meeting. We had a meeting
and the team didnt like the designs of the buildings which is disappointing. There was a ton of mistakes I made with the buildings such as triagnles and pentagons which
would make UVing difficult. We all decided that I would fix three buildings which is also disappointing; There was concern that we are behind and are taking too much than we can take.
It was just a thought and I understand the concern but I think its the stress getting to them. I wasnt able to fix any of the buildings in time for the next meeting.
This week we didnt discuss much; we talked briefly about how we intend to talk about the 3d anamatic: when it should be done, how the work would be divided and what it would like that. I finished off the two buildings thats going to be used. I was working on the third one but I list the file and had to switch to a building that was simple. We
talked about how we need to try to finish everything we were working on so we can do the 3D anamatic. Theres a screening and need to focus on it to show at the screening. Down below is the two completed buildings and one I was almost done with.

This week we talked about the 3d anamatic. One of my groupmembers wrote down all the desriptions for the shots and scenes. We also talked about the ones that she was unsure of.
We talked through the angle and actions of the shot together as a team. There was also a meeting for voice actors and sound effects and talked about possible canadiates for
the characters. We split up the shots and scenes and talked through expectations and deadlines for them as well. This week I finished beveling and getting rid of triangles on
the trashcan. I also finished beveling one of the remaining building which was perfect because we needed to focus on the anamatic. Down below is the trashcan and the buildings

This week we talked about finalized the 3d animatic. We were prepping for the showcase. Over the break we were giving an amount of shots to do to. I finished my parts although it was difficult but it was done. Down below is the shots I did. We agreed that someone would put together the animatic and while someone was doing that the rest of us tried to pick sounds for the animatic.

We came back to school last week and over the break we discussed the voice acting. One of our groupmates confirmed voices for our characters and is meeting one this week.
Our teacher discussed what we should tackle to meet our deadlines this semester. He recommended we get a schedule going and start animating as soon as possible. We agreed
made our schedule and assigned everyone rigging. However another teammate noticed that we have to do the uvs first before rigging or the texture will get messed up. So were
all doing uvs. I got assigned rigging the toy dino but my other teammates needed help with uvs so I took the toy noir penguin's uv. I am struggling with the uvs; I havent
done uvs in a while and Im getting help with another teammate. We discussed it in class that we shouldnt waste time on the uv for the
penguin becuase the person who modeled them already gave some of them basic textured. I am going to turn my attention to rigging which I have been
doing for the past two days. It has been giving me a little bit of trouble but I fugured it out. I nw understand the littliest details matter when creating an advanced
skelenton. In the meeting today our teacher urged us to pick up the pace on the rigging to keep with the schedule which is understandable. I am a bit worried that Im not
going to make it in time. I dont want to hand it off to another teammate and give them extra work like what happened last semester. I am going to try my best with finishing it
on time.
This week we all showed our rigs that we were working on. I was having trouble with my rig so I asked my professor for help. After his help I tried to get the rest done but
couldn't get the face done. It turns out that there were some issues with the rig such as not referencing it so I had to redo it. I am almost done with redoing the rig. We also
talked about getting started on the layouts because almost everyone was done with the rigs. We saw that everyone had an unequal amount so we tried to give everyone a fair amount. We talked about how to set it up and the namesake as well. We also agreed that we would stick to the scenes that we did for the 3d animatic. I need to talk to my group about the city layout because there are scenes and asests thats are missing that we need to acknowledge before going any further.
This week we were all working on the layouts minus one person. We kept pushing
the deadline for the layouts to be done because it took longer than anticipated.
We shouldve discussed what we should be doing with the layout and how we shouldve
presented them. For example some of us, me, submitted jpegs because thats what
we assumed we would be presenting for the production pass but others presented with
playblasts of their frames. We sometimes forget to communicate what to be expected
and we should work on that especially when were getting closer to do animation. One
of the group members didnt finish the layout because they were working on the main
character rigs. Another teammate is working with the other teammate that is working
on the main character rig. They are trying to make Frankie, the main character rig,
hair not freak out every time we move her arms. The rest of us took the teammates
layouts because of their work on Frankie. After the production pass we are hoping
to critique everyones layouts and start blocking animation while also finishing up the
rigs. While the rest of the team works on the texturing and lighting.
This week we discussed some of the scenes we did the layout for; We split into two groups: one for animation and the other for texturing/lighting. We also worked on the face rig for characters as we just did the full body rig for them. As stated earlier we discussed the layouts for the short and only reviewed three shots for each scene.
We also assigned each person a scene as I got scene 4/5. I was struggling with the face rig a bit because I was trying to use the advanced skeleton face rig but it wasnt working. I think it wasnt working because the mouth wasnt fully detailed; it was just a flap. We wanted the characters to blink and so I was having trouble there as well. This is due to the fact that I thought I can just do a blend shape for the blinking but it didnt work. I think the issue was I was connecting the vertices together but I abandoned the blend shape method altogether.
